ABOUT EASTERN
May 1, 2021 marked Eastern Construction’s 70th Anniversary—established in 1951.
Eastern Construction was founded by Edmond Odette who managed the firm with his brother Bud, initially starting out as a Windsor-based regional construction company. In the 1960s, Eastern relocated its headquarters to Toronto and then Scarborough in 2018, where the firm continues to operate.

As a General Contractor, Eastern stands at the forefront delivering innovative, practical and sustainable solutions using collaborative project delivery models such as Construction Management, Guaranteed Maximum Price, and Design-Build.
Over the past seven decades, the company has taken-on well over 1,000+ projects. We have earned a reputation for completing a variety of significant projects, on time and on budget, while maintaining our corporate philosophy of professionalism, integrity, and collaboration. Employing approximately 120 construction professionals full-time, Eastern is capable of undertaking a volume of $250 Million per year and is sought for our expertise in heritage structures, university campuses, low-carbon buildings, heavy timber construction, and virtual construction services.

Automated construction management processes are enabled by tools such as Building Information Modelling (BIM). Through this experience, Eastern Construction has developed the skills, techniques, methods, and expertise that spans all contract models with a particular emphasis on collaborative project delivery methods.

Eastern Construction boasts an impeccable safety record.
In 2022, Eastern achieved a significant milestone: over 3,270,000 hours worked without an LTI (Lost Time Injury) since 2011. The company became COR certified in 2015 and made the decision to transition to
ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management, achieving certification in 2023.
