MaRS Labs
The University of Toronto retained Eastern as the Construction Manager for the fit-up of the following three projects at MaRS Discovery District:
Polaris Laboratory—Floor 13: A laboratory incubator program comprised of offices and write-up areas in addition to a suite of modular laboratories for chemistry, biology, and cell culture. Special purpose areas for equipment, waste management, and glass washing support lab operations.
The Translational Biology & Engineering Laboratories (TBEL)—Floor 14: TBEL serves as a component of the Rogers Centre for Heart Research in partnership with the Hospital for Sick Children and the University Health Network. The Centre for Heart Research and TBEL aspire to be the first institution in the world to unify research, education, and innovation in congenital heart disease, regenerative medicine, and pediatric and adult heart disease under the sole focus of addressing heart health from adolescence to adulthood.
Laboratory Fit-out—Floors 15-16: an accommodation to growing research laboratory needs of the Faculty of Medicine who have remained at the forefront of life-changing health research and innovation.
