Toronto Construction Association has announced the recipients of the 2016 TCA "Best of the Best" Awards with Eastern Construction winning the coveted Project Achievement Award (Large Project Category).

"TCA's Project Achievement Awards pay tribute to member companies on large, medium and small projects who raise the bar in terms of professional excellence. What sets these projects apart is unique teamwork, dedication, innovation, professionalism and leadership that together culminate in an 'extraordinary' project achievement."

Eastern's project entry was Queen Richmond Centre, an $88 Million adaptive reuse and vertical expansion of a heritage property to serve as a high-tech commercial complex in the Entertainment District.  Queen Richmond Centre was built using the Construction Management delivery model.

To win the Project Achievement Award, proponents must demonstrate the project team innovated, overcame challenges related to budget/schedule/quality control, employed unique safety and environmental protocols, and demonstrated ethical conduct and professional throughout the project.

TCA will present the "Best of the Best" Awards during its Annual General Meeting set for February 9, 2017.
